Avery is 2. {Springfield Children’s Photographer}

Love!Love!Love!  Avery’s style, the urban look downtown, one entertaining Momma, and great accessories-it all came together for some great images.  Although many parents are leery of urban sessions for their young one’s, I love the look.  Our session started off a little bumpy battling wind and waiting for Avery to warm up but it all came together well.  It frequently takes infants and toddlers a little more time to warm up than adults think but well worth the wait.  Snacks and a drink frequently help too.  See them all. So fabulous…

Connor in Fall. {Springfield Children’s Photographer}

It is so fun to watch my clients grow.  I’ve had the opportunity to photograph this little guy multiple times since his first week of life.  He’s two now and developing his own adventurous personality.  Connor was a great sport at his Fall session.  He enjoyed playing with the leaves and pumpkins and showing off his Halloween costume.

See all of Connor’s session in his gallery.  Looking forward to photographing Connor with his new baby sibling early next Spring. Yeah!

Emiana. {Mommy Photographer}

It’s been a while since  I shared any photos of our little girl.  She is on the go and likes to  “cheese” it up these days so it can be a challenge to capture her.  I love how this set of photos taken over a month portrays the different aspects of her personality.

Lillian is One. {Springfield Baby Photographer}

Sweet little miss Lillian celebrated her first birthday with a photo session and of course we included a little cake smashing for fun.  I loved the vintage look of the location and how Lillian’s style matched perfectly.

Happy Birthday, Lillian! Looking forward to watching you grow.  See all the photos from Lillian’s session in her gallery.

Sweet baby Caleb. {Springfield Newborn Photographer}

I was so excited to meet sweet baby Caleb.  After photographing Caleb’s parents at their maternity session, I was just waiting for the call announcing the new one’s arrival.  I had the privilege of visiting Caleb’s grandparents’ home for his first session.  We had a wonderful time even if we did spend a lot of it trying to wait for Caleb to get settled.  I would venture to say that nothing happens quickly at newborn sessions.  You can see all the images in Caleb’s gallery,  I think the images were worth the wait…

It was a warm, sunny day so after the indoor session, we headed out for some coloring popping photographs.

Expecting Caleb. {Springfield Maternity Photographer}

At each of my sessions,  I feel privileged and blessed that my clients have chosen me to be a part of an exciting time in their lives. This is particularly true at maternity and newborn sessions.  My session with Curtis and Amy was amazing.  First time parents so excited about the little one on the way, perfect light and colors, and great styling.  It all makes my job so amazing!  See all the images in their maternity gallery.

Urban Luka. {Springfield Baby Photographer}

I love it when my clients purchase a First Year Photography package.  Then, I get to watch these little guys grow.  After a short phone consultation, Luka’s Mom and I decided we would meet downtown for a little urban session.  I absolutely loved the outcome.

Perfect in color or black&white.  Don’t you just love the expressions!  See them all in Luka’s gallery.

Porter is 2. {Springfield Children’s Photographer}

As part of a birthday celebration weekend, Porter’s parents brought him to play with me at the park and capture some photographs.  He was pretty unsure of the whole thing in the beginning but he warmed up as we went.  I love Porter’s smile AND his serious looks.

One of my favorite wallets, customized for Porter.

Many babies and children need a little time to warm up and adjust to their surroundings.  Custom photography allows for that time.  Having patience and allowing plenty of time for each of my sessions has allowed many to capture many great images that would have been missed in a rushed, box-store studio situation.

Connor is 2. {Springfield Children’s Photographer}

In celebration of Connor’s second birthday, we headed out for a session featuring one of my newest props: the red, vintage style pedal car.  I don’t frequently suggest site locations on the fly but on my way to this session I spotted the perfect location.  We did these photographs at a local car shop, with great garage doors and mountains of tires.  Fabulous!  Here are a few with a faded vintage finish.

I’m currently working to modify the car so that it may also be used as a newborn prop.  If you know anyone expecting a little boy in the Spring of 2012, drop me a line.  I’d love to try this baby out with a sweet new baby.
