Introducing our Little Princess.

Miss Emiana Rose Boyd

To our Friends and Family,

As many of you that follow my blog know, we (Hal and I) have waited for this little girl to come into our lives for some time.  On November 27, this dream became a reality.  Emiana came into the world with such wonder and amazement that we couldn’t believe this had happened.  She was born at 5:25 am, weighing 7lbs 13 ounces, and was 21 1/2 inches long.  This baby has already brought so much joy to our lives in the short time that she has been alive.  She reminds us of the times we spent praying and hoping for her and makes us think of all the sweet and precious times that are yet to come.

We would like to thank you all for your prayers and support of us in the past and for all the years to come–Sarah, Halbert and Emiana

Beary Adorable Connor. 6 months. {Springfield Baby Photographer}

How adorable is that?  Connor’s 6 month session included his “beary” adorable Halloween costume, a fall set, and a holiday set.  We were able to capture so many different looks both indoors and out.  On the day of the session, Connor really wanted to be serious but his Momma knew his sweet smile was in there somewhere and she worked her magic.

Sweet Emme. 3 months. {Springfield Baby Photographer}

Not a lot of time for chatting today but I didn’t want to miss an opportunity to share photographs of this sweet girl.  Emme decided she really wanted us to work at her session but we still managed to get some precious shots despite her attempts to hide behind her hands.  Our session included a set up for the Fall and for the holidays.  I think Emme’s nap made her holiday shots even more adorable.

Erica Pom {Springfield Teen Photographer}

As mentioned in my previous post, I was privileged with the opportunity to photograph a gorgeous family from Tulsa.  It got even better when in planning our session Erica’s mom mentioned that she would like some pom photographs of Erica, who is a sophomore this year.  We then discovered that Erica attends my Alma Matter, Jenks High School, located South of Tulsa.

I absolutely loved my time with Erica and think she is a beautiful young lady.  It felt like one of those “full-circle moments.”  In high school I would never have imagined owning my own photography business yet I found myself remembering the challenges and the rewards of being a student at Jenks High School.

Erica,

I hope you find something that you love to do and live your life passionately.  Your confidence and inner beauty shines through.  Thanks for sharing a few moments with me,

Sarah

Honored by Session with Tulsa Family {Springfield Children’s Photographer}

I can hardly even describe how excited I was when Michelle, the momma of these lovely children, contacted me about a session.  This family lives in Tulsa and she had been following my blog and said she just loved my style.  Needless to say, I felt pretty honored when she arranged for a session, with me, in Springfield.  In addition, her children were small the last time they had a session together.

I was feeling the pressure on the morning of the session and hoping to give this family some wonderful photographs of the siblings together.  It was a chilly morning but these kids were troopers and we had a great time together.  I knew before I left the session that the shots we captured were something this family could cherish for a long time.

Erica, Clayton, and Spencer-thanks for being such great troopers and Michelle-thanks for making me feel so honored.  You have gorgeous children inside and out!

Blog-A-Thon

Well, the blog is one of the many things in my life that I have been getting anxious about being pulled together and up-to-date before my pending maternity leave.  Blame it on “nesting” or any other pregnancy term you’d like to, I just want to feel confident that all is settled so I can focus on our daughter when she chooses to arrive.

So, the goal today is to post several times between editing and fulfilling orders.  Hope you enjoy!  Hal and I, along with the help of our tripod and wireless remote, took these photographs at the end of September when I was 30 weeks along in my pregnancy.  I have more recent photographs to share but this was a wonderful day at the beautiful Japanese Stroll Gardens in Springfield and I didn’t want to move on without posting them.
